Spinal stenosis — a chronic condition that we help patients live well with.

Narrowing of the spinal canal is a long-term, progressive condition. With the right conservative care, most patients can maintain or improve function for years before surgery becomes necessary.

What it is

Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal that produces compression of the spinal cord or nerve roots. It is most common in adults over fifty and is usually caused by age-related changes — disc degeneration, ligament thickening, and bone spur formation. Symptoms classically include leg pain or weakness that worsens with walking and improves with sitting or bending forward.

Our treatment approach

Conservative care for spinal stenosis focuses on reducing the mechanical compression where possible, building strength and mobility in the surrounding structures, and helping the patient maintain function. Surgery is reserved for severe cases that fail to respond to conservative management.

Modalities used

  • Spinal decompression therapy
  • Manual therapy
  • Low-level laser therapy
  • Rehabilitative exercise
  • Postural correction

What to expect

Spinal stenosis is a chronic, progressive condition. Most patients can be helped to maintain or improve function with a structured conservative care plan over a 3–6 month treatment arc, followed by maintenance.

If this matches your symptoms

  • Most cases of spinal stenosis are non-surgical when treated with the right protocol.
  • Every patient begins with a structured 45-minute clinical assessment with a doctor — $88 introductory consultation.
  • If our care is not the right path for your condition, we will say so and refer you on.
Frequently asked

Common questions.

Our patient-care team is happy to walk through anything else over the phone or WhatsApp.

In most cases, yes. Conservative treatment for spinal stenosis resolves the condition for the majority of patients without surgery. We will tell you honestly if your case is one where surgical consultation is the right path.
No referral is required. If you have prior imaging — X-ray, MRI, specialist correspondence — bringing it to the first consultation helps the clinician build a more complete picture from the start.
